About me

Hi there! I am Subhankar, a Computer Science Ph.D. candidate at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

I am fortunate to be advised by Professor Shashi Shekhar and I am a member of the Spatial Computing Research Group.

I am also a Graduate Assistant at iHARP: NSF HDR Institute for Harnessing Data and Model Revolution in the Polar Regions, where our primary goal is to reduce the uncertainty in sea level rise prediction arising from the ice sheet melt in the polar regions.

My current project aims at reducing the uncertainty in regional sea level rise predictions from CMIP6 models using probabilistic methods. In the past I have worked on spatial pattern mining such as regional co-location patterns and statistical techniques to reduce false discoveries in the pattern detection process.
